Responsibilities

As an IT Applications Trainer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our users get the most out of Alera Group’s technology platform. From running Office Hours to creating content, you’ll lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. This role isn’t just about fixing problems - it’s about empowering our team to deliver top-notch technology to our end users.

  • Design and deliver training courses for software applications, focusing on Microsoft 365 and Teams Phone.
  • Analyze skill gaps and develop tailored curricula to meet individual and organizational training needs.
  • Prepare teaching materials, training manuals, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, managing group dynamics and discussions effectively.
  • Assess employee performance, provide reports, and offer ongoing guidance and support.
  • Leverage new technologies for training delivery, including video conferencing and distance learning.
  • Travel domestically up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in IT or technical training.
  • Proven experience delivering training for Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong background in designing technical course materials and using web-based learning platforms.
  • Understanding of corporate computer security principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Additional training certifications (e.g., Certified Technical Trainer) are a plus.
  • Preferred knowledge of training for insurance industry applications.

Salary range is $75,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience.
