We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support and drive security and IT initiatives within the healthcare industry. This role will be instrumental in managing projects, coordinating communication between teams and stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of key security and IT efforts.
As a cross-functional leader, you will work closely with security, IT, engineering, compliance, and customer-facing teams to track project progress, manage risks, assist with budgeting, and drive remediation efforts within the team. While this role is not directly responsible for budgeting or personnel management, it requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to keep security and IT programs on track.
What You'll Be Working On:
Program & Project Management: Assist in the management of security and IT projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, security objectives, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between security, IT, compliance, engineering, and leadership teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and reporting progress on key initiatives.
Customer Engagement: Support customer communications related to security and compliance initiatives, including responding to inquiries, assisting with security assessments, and providing project updates.
Issue Remediation & Risk Management: Help identify, track, and facilitate the remediation of security and IT issues, ensuring timely resolution and proper risk management.
Budgeting & Resource Planning: Support budget planning efforts by gathering cost estimates, tracking expenses, and aligning financial planning with security and IT initiatives.
Process Improvement & Governance: Assist in refining program management processes, ensuring operational efficiency, documentation, and adherence to industry best practices.
Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with engineering, security, IT, and compliance teams to ensure smooth execution of projects, timely resolution of roadblocks, and effective risk mitigation.
Metrics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and program milestones, providing regular reports to leadership on project health, risks, and achievements.
What You'll Bring to OneStudyTeam:
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in technical program management or project management.
Strong understanding of security and IT concepts, including infrastructure, cloud security, and compliance (HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, and driving initiatives to completion.
Ability to facilitate cross-team collaboration, identify blockers, and ensure smooth project execution.
Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar).
Experience tracking budgets and resources to support IT/security initiatives (though not responsible for the final budget).
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assist in issue remediation and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in healthcare IT or security programs, with knowledge of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001).
PMP, CSM, CAPM, or SAFe certifications are a plus.
Experience handling customer security inquiries, audits, or security questionnaires.
