Job Description

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.


  • Analyze, Design, Develop, Test software to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects.
  • Prepare documentation reflecting present procedures and recommend improvements if warranted.
  • Work with users to understand, define and develop product requirements; providing development estimates as needed.
  • Perform 24x7 On-call production support duties trouble shooting issues on a rotating basis.
  • Consult with the database administration team on the design of logical and physical databases.
  • Conducts and assists in unit, load, performance, and integration testing.
  • Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including but not limited to sprint planning, standup calls, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Participate in project planning and release management.
  • Work with internal and external customers to address issues in a timely manner.
  • Interface directly with external vendors/data providers to resolve data integrity issues.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years working with Oracle databases.
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL in a batch environment.
  • Ability to quickly understand existing database structures with assistance as required.
  • Ability to create ad-hoc queries to support internal customer needs.
  • Strong database skills working in an Oracle based database environment.
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning.
  • Experience working in a Unix environment and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices and principles.
  • Experience using version control and defect tracking systems (GIT or comparable).
  • Working knowledge of Object oriented programming concepts.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient grammar, sentence structure and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and roles.


Additional Items a Plus


  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as C# and .NET and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Kanban, Scrum and extreme programming techniques.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $91,077 - $118,450 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
