We are seeking a Reinsurance Expert to join our team for a mission with one of our stakeholders based in US. This role involves analyzing and executing moderately to highly complex reinsurance transactions and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to the terms of reinsurance agreements and departmental standards. The perfect candidate is a self-starter who can independently tackle issues without the need for continuous supervision. Responsibilities:
Analyze and perform intermediate to complex reinsurance transactions and financial reporting ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of the reinsurance agreements and department standards
Identify, calculate, record, report and settle premium reinsurance in relation to contract terms and department standards
Reconcile complex detail reinsurance related activity, identify issues, coordinate resolution and take corrective actions as directed
Analysis includes reviewing for trends, anomalies, and reconciliation to key data sources
Ensure timely, accurate, and complete calculations, recording, reporting and billing of reinsurance premium, in accordance with contract terms and department standards
Lead relationship and communication with internal Zurich business partners and external reinsurance customers within area of responsibility, including timely response to all external inquiries as prescribed by department standards
Candidate’s profile:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of experience in the accounting, finance or insurance/reinsurance
General knowledge of reinsurance, such as reinsurance types and layering
Ability to read and digest a reinsurance agreement to build out a reinsurance structure
Problem solving and critical thinking – finding creative ways to solve complex problems
Independent worker - must be able to resolve issues without seeking constant guidance
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to conclude and summarize findings
Fluent in spoken and written English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate to advanced level)
Additional requirements:
This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer, which will require occasionally adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule.

In March 2016 we established a Shared Service Centre in Kraków, in Poland to support our global strategy. It is from this location that we have created a global shared service platform, focusing on advanced business functions such as financial accounting and reporting, planning and performance management, ICFR testing, financial systems management as well as HR integrated talent management operations.
This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
