The position:
Join our Quality and Regulatory team as a Sr. Manager in Supplier Quality Assurance. Contribute to scaling the Material and Structural Analysis Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific by driving Product Quality and divisional process improvements.

Key responsibilities:
Build and drive a Supplier Quality Assurance strategy and vision for the Material and Structural Analysis Division that supports growth and compliance.
Provide outstanding leadership to promote strong quality values to ensure customer and business expectations are continuously met and exceeded.
Implement Supplier Quality Assurance dashboards in close collaboration with the Supplier Quality Engineering team in the Procurement organization.
Work with Research and Development, Operations, and Procurement and Sourcing teams to define the processes for the Integrated Management System. This ensures quality and compliance for raw materials, components, finished products, and services from suppliers.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze Supplier Quality Issues, identify root causes, and establish Corrective and Preventive Actions for internal processes. Coordinate with Supplier Engineering team to determine necessary Supplier Corrective Action Reports.
Ensure that there will be an effective, risk-based Supplier Evaluation process and that all Suppliers will be approved before product or service can be purchased.
Lead initiatives to mitigate Supplier Quality Risks.
Lead and report on process Supplier Quality trends in close collaboration with other partners.
Requirements:
Ensure that Critical to Quality and Critical to Safety requirements are defined.
Ensure that a risk-based Supplier Audit Program exists and is completed.
Ensure that incoming inspection processes exist for parts / services from applicable suppliers.
Make Costs of Poor Quality visible and drive continuous improvement activities and projects to reduce costs of poor-quality resulting from bad supplier performance.
Competencies:
Bachelor’s or master’s in a technical field related to Quality, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 10+ years work experience.
Successful experience with problem-solving techniques.
Demonstrated results on improving suppliers manufacturing processes and understanding Coordinated Supply Chain interconnections.
Hands-on experience with driving CAPAs and SCARs.
Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Controls) and other risk management tools.
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma improvement systems.
Knowledge of high-tech environment, and specifically capital equipment.
Self-directed, confident, analytical-logical thinking and people’s person.
Be hands-on and ready to roll up the sleeves to fill in where required in meeting divisional objectives to drive customer happiness and meet financial targets.
