WHO ARE YOU? You enjoy being the go-to-person for sales teams when they need support with managing and processing RFP responses and customer contracts. You can easily manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously and you have a keen understanding of the K-12 education space.

WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT? As the Contracts Opportunity Specialist (COS), you will play the critical role of managing the RFP pipeline with the aim of maximizing business opportunities and ultimately impact the organizations growth.   
 
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:         
  • Assist with management of RFP pipeline and assign leads to sales team members for further qualification
  • Strategically analyze and assess operational areas of risk
  • Optimize and support response development by collaborating with sales team members
  • Ensure entry and accuracy of content into response platform, library and support SOP creation
  • Track and report on RFPs and assign necessarily action items to sales team members
  • Manage and maintain database of contracts
  • Other duties as assigned
YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)      
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • 3+ years of experience evaluating contract opportunities for K-12 schools, including highly complex sales opportunities
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating K-12 state instructional materials review and adoption processes
  • 3+ years working with cross-functional project teams for contract opportunities and state adoptions
  • 3+ years of experience working with proposal management software platforms
  • Well-developed knowledge of K-12 RFP and state adoption processes
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management and prioritization skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Adobe and CRM systems
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% throughout the year (to NSM meetings)
IDEAL IF YOU HAVE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)         
  • Experience using Salesforce (CRM) or Loopio (Proposal Management) 
  • Familiarity with VHL products
 
LOCATION         100% Remote: Requires residence and location within the United States of America. Ideal candidate will reside within the state of Iowa. Relocation is not available for this position.
