Our client is something really innovative! This Israel-based startup is building a mobile-first app for micro dramas—a short, scripted series made for smartphones. Think of it as TikTok with short episodes lasting 1 to 1.5 minutes.

What makes you a great fit

• 4+ years of iOS development experience, with Swift & SwiftUI expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), with the ability to integrate and optimize it effectively for iOS applications.
• Deep understanding of video streaming technologies (e.g., AVPlayer, HLS, adaptive bitrate streaming).
• Strong UI/UX skills, with a focus on animations, transitions, and gesture-based interactions.
• Experience in gamification features to increase retention and engagement.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, debugging tools (Instruments, Xcode Profiler), and concurrency management.
• Experience with monetization flows, such as paywalls, IAPs, and ads.
• Familiarity with backend services (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets).

Your day-to-day in this position

• Implement and optimize shared KMP logic for iOS, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
• Lead SwiftUI-based UI development, balancing cross-platform consistency with native iOS excellence.
• Optimize UI performance, animations, and transitions, leveraging Core Animation, Combine, and Swift Concurrency
• Enhance video player performance, implementing seamless playback, buffering strategies, and offline caching.
• Develop gamification features (e.g., rewards, badges, leaderboards) to boost engagement.
• Integrate monetization strategies, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, and ad-based models.
• Collaborate with KMP, backend, and design teams to build a well-integrated iOS experience.
• Ensure compliance with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and App Store policies.
