A real estate asset management company specializing in multifamily housing. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Chicago, it manages a portfolio of over 300 Class A and B properties, totaling more than 100,000 units across the United States.

The company's focus goes beyond real estate value appreciation, prioritizing people and communities. It aims to create exceptional places to live, work, and grow while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Currently, they are looking for a Data Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and security of data within their systems. This role involves applying modern data governance practices, detecting anomalies, and enhancing the organization’s data architecture.

What you will do:

• Do cool data stuff…LOTS of cool stuff…oh and with amazing humans
• Assisting in root cause analysis, investigating data errors or anomalies, and
assisting with the implementation of solutions to rectify
• Management of presentation for data quality outputs scoring and data profiling
results (I.e. building BI dashboards for data quality checks internally)
• Architect solutions to improve data quality
• Develop and maintain tools, templates, and methodologies to support the
execution and implementation of LivCor policies and standards” (e.g. work with
LivCor data teams to ensure personally identifying information isn’t included in
data sets, etc.)
• Map new data elements in various applications
• Perform audits on key data elements to ensure data integrity
• Monitor inbound data for new data elements to map
• Assist in identifying, automating, and maintaining data quality processes and
standards
• Assist with maintenance of data mapping documentation
• Conduct test plans for validation of data mapping
• Help us to make better decisions, empower our people, and solve problems

What you should have:


• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Quality
disciplines
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Math, Physics
• Experience scaling data environments with distributed/RT systems and self-serve
visualization environments
• A belief that good, clean data is like air and water to a company
• Advanced proficiency with SQL, Python and QA
• Having Machine Learning experience is a plus
• Experience designing and implementing cloud based and SaaS data warehouses,
such as Snowflake or Databricks, and developing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience integrating and building data platform in support of BI, Analytics,
Data Science, and real-time applications
• Familiarity with data catalog tools like Alation and proficiency in API scripting to
automate data discovery and metadata management
• Software Development Lifecycle best practices including source code
management (Git), continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and testdriven
development
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to initiate and drive projects
proactively and accurately
• An overwhelming desire to see others succeed
