Responsibilities:

Summary

This role involves analyzing business process issues, assisting system users, researching solutions, and making recommendations. The Business Analyst develops proposals, tests, implements, and evaluates both technical and non-technical solutions, while balancing multiple responsibilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain trusted business relationships, maximizing business value from technology to fulfill business needs and organizational goals.
  • Document system requirements by detailing technical criteria necessary to achieve UI outcomes that align with customers' definition of completion.
  • Document planning, designing, development, and deployment of interfaces between new and legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with business units, developers, and corporate services to produce and enhance systems while documenting business processes.
  • Validate modifications by developing test plans and conducting system tests.
  • Focus on efficiencies, reducing redundancies, and streamlining for continuous improvement.
  • Able to understand systems and business processes comprehensively from start to finish.
  • Optimize user experiences.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports.
  • Perform data analysis to identify anomalies, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Function as an Azure DevOps Product Owner, possessing full knowledge of work items, creating and maintaining work items, managing backlogs, tracking progress, managing requirements, communicating with project teams, and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
Qualifications:

Qualifications, Education and Experience Preferred

  • 4-year college degree or 10+ years of work experience
  • Experience supporting Workday
  • Experience in P&C Insurance a plus
  • Industry or Project Management Designation
  • Experience with Agile, Iterative and Waterfall project methodologies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Business Acumen, knowledge in working in Backoffice systems such as Workday
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
  • Insurance experience a plus
  • Analytical skills: system thinking, organizational knowledge, problem identification and solving
  • Team collaboration
  • Organized, clear documentation
  • Knowledge in business and technology
  • Comfortable with all organizational levels, especially executives
  • Manage expectations and explain technical details
  • Confident communication, both written and verbal
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Compensation & Benefits

 

The applicable base salary for this opportunity is $90,000 - $120,000.  The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.  In addition to the base salary, this opportunity may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
