Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Collections Manager (O2C) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on managing the collections process, reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and analyzing past due receivables. This role is essential for optimizing our cash flow and ensuring timely collections from customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Commercial and Customer Service on the entire order to cash process, from order entry to payment collection to ensure timely payments are received.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce DSO and improve cash flow.
  • Manage and monitor collections activities to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Analyze past due receivables and develop action plans and customer contacts to reduce outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing and payment issues and appropriate escalation as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collections performance, DSO, and receivables aging.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the order to cash cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in collections management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of collections processes and strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and receivables management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Aptean ROSS ERP system preferred, or similar (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive action plans to completion
