Position Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounting and Operations Analyst to join our team. This multifaceted role combines financial analysis, accounting oversight, and back-end operations management. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to simplify accounting and operational workflows
Key Responsibilities
Accounting, AR/AP, and compliance:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Produce management reports and financial statements with actionable insights
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting
- Manage year-end tax prep with accounting partner
- Manage general compliance operations for company
Strategic Support:
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support business growth and expansion plans
- Collaborate with leadership to develop financial and operational strategies
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures across the organization
- Proactively address potential issues before they impact the business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field if the candidate has a relevant accounting certification such as a CPA.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an ecommerce supporting role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP or bookkeeping software like Quickbooks.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with inventory management and logistics in an e-commerce setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
