Job description

At Marco Polo, we’re passionate about helping businesses grow, and we’re looking for a talented and experienced Web Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role will operate between 2 to 20 hours per week, so an ideal candidate is flexible in their hours. In this role you’ll focus on building and optimizing web flows and systems that attract, convert, and onboard new customers. You’ll be working closely with stakeholders to create user-friendly experiences that drive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize modern responsive web components, pages, and analytics that will be used to power marketing, lead generation and conversion.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business goals and ensure the web technologies, and web experience aligns with them.

Assist with building and optimizing web programs to power search and SEO related channels.

Maintain and expand CMS and analytics platforms, optimizing them for performance and scalability.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve web-related issues in a timely manner.

Support a/b and multivariate testing requirements for web related initiatives.

Deeply partner with product and design to facilitate strong design execution.

Ensure responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility to provide a consistent and high-quality experience across all devices.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric web projects.

Proven experience with Vue.js or React is preferred; experience with Typescript, Nuxt.js, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, or Webflow is a plus.

Familiarity with headlessCMS systems such as DatoCMS and Analytics platforms.

Strong skills in frontend development and responsive web design.

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Experience working in fast-paced environments and adjusting to changing priorities.

Experience with SEO best practices to help advise technical recommendations for web and blog development.
