Position Summary:

The Virtual Operations Manager (VOM) is responsible for providing operational and project management support to several individual virtual sales teams on behalf of the Client. The VOM is expected to build and continue to preserve strong working relationships with the Client and their brand marketing teams, sales leadership teams, analytics teams, etc. to consistently generate new business and strategize potential areas for growth within existing business.

Success in this role is exemplified by being an excellent communicator with demonstrated operational, project management, organizational, and presentation skills in an inside sales setting. Furthermore, the VOM must possess the utmost level of professionalism, work well with others from all levels of the organization, multi-task several projects and client deliverables while meeting all deadlines, and demonstrate agility to shift focus, as needed, to meet all ongoing client needs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as the ‘owner’ and main point of contact for the assigned virtual sales teams by working as a strategic partner with the Client to design, develop, manage, and successfully maintain several ongoing Virtual Sales teams simultaneously
  • Consult with creative agencies, Brand Marketing and Sales Leadership teams to develop materials, as appropriate, for the virtual sales teams to utilize and share remotely with HCPs
  • Consult with key stakeholders across the organization to execute all necessary components of each virtual sales team, ensuring their pharmaceutical representatives are set up for success
  • Work closely with Sales Management counterparts to strategize and align on how best to measure the success of the virtual sales representatives
  • Access, analyze and interpret virtual sales team call activity data, then compile those findings along with Key Performance Indicators, insights on how to improve/enhance the support provided to the Client, etc. into PowerPoint slide decks for presentations to the Client
  • Successfully run and lead in-person and virtual meetings with all key stakeholders to discuss and align on brand strategy changes, Health Care Professional (HCP) target list updates, identified opportunities for additional support that the virtual sales team can provide to the Client, etc. by presenting prepared PowerPoint decks and proactively setting clear objectives in meeting invites
  • Assist in developing and implementing Business Rules and Work Instructions documents to reflect all business tactics
  • Participate in Quality Monitoring call calibrations to ensure all compliance and regulatory guidelines are followed across virtual sales teams

Education and Experience:

  • BA/ BS Degree required
  • 4+ years of experience in managing the operations of a virtual sales team of pharmaceutical representatives

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum at-home requirement of High-Speed Cable Internet or Fiber Optic Cable to ensure ability to work remotely, when appropriate

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Virtual sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities concurrently, while consistently delivering high quality work and adhering to all Compliance regulations
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow through quickly on all tasks and requests
  • Highly effective at collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders
