About the Position:
An ideal candidate for the Senior Consultant position in DRS’s Integrated Grants Practice has a strong background in federal, state, and local grants management, including policy, processes, and procedures. The candidate will provide subject matter expert-level support to complex grants administration projects utilizing federal, state, and local funds. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for supporting the Integrated Grants Practice strategy in relation to the overall business strategy as directed by the Integrated Grants Managing Consultant and/or the Project Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
Support clients with federal, state, and local grant projects, with an emphasis on pre- and post-award administration
Deliver exceptional grants management consulting to state and local governments, K-12, higher-ed, and private non-profit clients
Recommend best-practice grants management procedures
Create and provide high-quality project deliverables under the direction of the assigned Integrated Grants Managing Consultant and/or Project Executive
Support the client throughout the lifecycle of grants management projects as requested by the Integrated Grants Managing Consultant and/ or Project Executive
Provide subject matter expertise in grants administration deliverables, such as grant writing, compliance, and financial / performance reporting
Participate in project calls with clients as requested
Report on grants project-related metrics as requested
Provide onsite grants management support as requested by the client
Cultivate and manage positive relationships with client grants staff
Ensure compliance with engagement risk protocols
Participate in prospective client webinars and meetings as requested
Represent DRS at professional conferences such as GFOA, NGMA, etc.
Develop continuous subject matter expertise in grants management trends, initiatives, and compliance areas
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the grants management sector
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in business, finance, economics, public administration, or related discipline
Current grant management professional certifications such as CGMS, GMCP, GPCI, PMP, or related certifications are a plus
Exceptional communication skills
High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to complex client environments and situations
Proven track record of effectively supporting the grants management process
Excellent written communication skills, self-directed with the preparation of client-ready document and presentation development
Articulate, persuasive communicator who is adept at handling challenging audiences well, including the ability to adapt style to audience
Work Location:
This position is a remote work experience with travel required to be at client sites as the projects dictate.
Salary Transparency:
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $125,000-$150,000 with a discretionary bonus and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
