POSITION OVERVIEW

To prevent consumer harm, WMC Global specializes in identifying the sources and methods of digital threats, shutting down related in-market threat delivery mechanisms, and creating barriers to threat propagation. Our team is leading the charge in mobile and digital threat intelligence and bringing its expertise in wireless communications and detection, processes, and investigative techniques to protect financial institutions, Fortune 500 brands, governments and their customers. You’ll become part of this passionate team that leads the industry in award-winning mobile cyber threat intelligence.

As Product Director (Director), you’ll be accountable for driving product strategy and managing product development and lifecycle (PDLC) maintenance for two distinct yet complementary product suites: Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and Trusted Messaging. Our cybersecurity products are highly technical and will require a strong technical foundation as well as cybersecurity expertise for success. You’ll be responsible for driving product revenue growth and managing departmental resources, and your leadership will result in a high performing product team. You’ll be part of a fast-moving and evolving company, and you’ll work directly alongside senior internal stakeholders to execute product strategy, accelerating market presence and decreasing time to value. A successful Director prioritizes and manages their time well, adeptly leading teams toward timely execution of corporate and departmental goals. You can be relied upon to consistently deliver and keep teams motivated and on task. As Director, you are responsible for overseeing the PDLC along with measurement and reporting of product health KPIs.

This position is fully remote, based in the United States, and may require up to 25% travel. This is a full-time, exempt position.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

  •  Define and execute a scalable product strategy, in partnership with senior leadership, recommending dynamic adjustments as context requires;
  • Prioritize product investments based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer or market demand;
  • Build and maintain a high-performing product team responsible for critical growth path of organization; and,
  • Establish and track key product health metrics, informing roadmap transparency and accuracy.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Management

  • Lead product function, managing, mentoring, coaching, and developing product team and guiding business analysts as needed
  • Manage departmental hiring strategies and support new employee onboarding/training and departmental and professional growth plans, driving leadership of high performing teams
  • Set product KPIs and performance metrics, regularly analyzing team performance and individual initiatives and reporting out on departmental strategic goals and KPIs
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, providing ongoing feedback and development plans to enhance individual and team performance
  • Deliver timely and appropriate corrective action to ensure personnel and strategic initiatives track toward high performance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, as well as spirit of teamwork that strives for cohesive, high-quality performance, employee retention and fulfillment, and supportive and innovative problem solving
  • Drive cultural shift toward robust understanding of company mission and vision through calculated decision-making process and on-point messaging in internal, as well as external relations
  • Partner with Human Resources team on resource planning and employee relations to establish a trusting, inclusive, productive, and psychologically safe workplace culture

Product Strategy and Delivery

  • Define and communicate a risk-based and data-driven product strategy, vision, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate vision and goals
  • Lead the creation of a balanced product portfolio, including SaaS platforms, data services, and professional CTI threat hunting solutions
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes to enhance product value and maximize revenue potential, overseeing go-to-market strategies
  • Drive the end-to-end PDLC, from concept to market launch, ensuring timely and high-quality releases and supporting R&D-to-production handover
  • Establish product release plans with clear milestones, KPIs, and success metrics in collaboration with PMO, supporting organizational transition to Agile development
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer or market feedback
  • Deploy implementation plans and monitoring initiatives to ascertain success of product strategy, calibrating as needed to push organization’s strategic objectives
  • Facilitate build vs. buy decisions when assessing product need
  • Support revenue goals by enabling Sales and Strategic Partnerships with compelling product positioning, GTM strategies, and pricing models
  • Lead quarterly product reviews with executive leadership, highlighting product success, risks, and plans
  • Adopt a product mindset, pairing expertise and continuous innovation with customer centricity to drive value for internal and external partners
  • Conduct regular product reviews and health analysis, providing executive leadership with detailed performance reports and actionable insights
  • Develop product management best practices, processes, and tools to scale operations efficiently

Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Ensure product-market fit by continuously evaluating industry trends, market gaps, and competitor offerings
  • Assess Sales’ analysis of competitive products, pricing models, and sales TTPs to refine UVP
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback through direct client interaction or surveys in partnership with Customer Success
  • Monitor and regularly report out on market trends (including competitive offerings), emerging cybersecurity threats, and industry innovations, translating complex cybersecurity challenges into actionable product improvements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, PMO, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Strategic Partnerships teams to define requirements and specifications and ensure product alignment with overarching corporate strategic goals and customer centricity
  • Ideate with Engineering, CTI, and R&D teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions
  • Review market feedback and collaborate with PMO, Engineering, R&D, Sales and Customer Success teams on opportunities to enhance existing or provide new services or deliverables
  • Join forces with Sales and Marketing to craft compelling product messaging, GTM strategies, and sales enablement materials
  • Support Customer Success and Operations teams in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving product adoption

 

ANCILLARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Travel to and serve as company representative at numerous cross-cultural business and speaking engagements to build brand awareness and observe market dynamics
  • Serve as voting member on internal committees, including, but not limited to: Pricing, R&D, Change Control Board
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

JOB COMPENTENCIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated business, financial, and technical acumen
  • 10+ years’ professional experience required, of which: 
  • 7+ years must be in relevant, progressive management role
  • At least 5 years working in product management in cybersecurity or related industry required
  • Experience with SMB technology companies is strongly preferred
  • Forward-thinking, commercial mindset
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models and API-driven products
  • Validated success working in a remote fast-paced, team-oriented environment with ability to lead small, globally dispersed teams and influence executive and external stakeholders
  • Exceptionally organized with superior time- and self-management skills and strong personal accountability
  • Sound strategic-thinking, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with expert attention to detail
  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Comfort with information exchange, asking questions, and seeking feedback, inviting constructive conflict where useful to support healthy and productive open dialogue
  • Crisp verbal and written presentation skills
  • Experience in efficiently supporting day-to-day functions in M365, Atlassian Products (Jira and Confluence), and Splunk
  • Passion for technology and consumer/brand protection
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity, including threat intelligence platforms, data analytics, and industry frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Strict adherence to secure-by-design development principles and data protection standards
  •  Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Availability to travel to prospective clients and industry events or other in person engagements, as required, domestically and internationally
  • Sustained demonstration of integrity and discretion in handling confidential or sensitive information o Adherence to and respect for WMC Global’s values, which form the bedrock of all our business dealings

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, business or similar field required
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master's degree preferred
  • Industry recognized professional certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, CISA, CRISC, SAFe Product Management a plus
