Job Summary
The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our Finance Manager. This is a mission-critical role for the business. The Finance Manager will support the Moving and Shared businesses. This is a key and highly visible position that will be partnering with business leaders across Porch and providing insights and guidance on the company’s financial performance. This role requires strong business acumen, keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent Excel and data analytical skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a focus on results who is comfortable with ambiguity, multi-tasking, communicating with a variety of business partners, deep dive analytics, and loves to drive system and process improvements. As this is a remote role, we need someone who is highly motivated and can work independently.
What You Will Do As A Finance Manager
You will serve as a trusted financial advisor to the business leaders of your division, collaborate across multiple functions within the business, including but not limited to marketing, engineering, product etc., partner with other corporate functions such as accounting, EBS, regularly interact with senior level management.
Spearhead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles (quarterly) for your division.
Review, explain and present month-end operational and financial results; identify key risks and opportunities; provide actionable recommendations to the business on how to achieve profitable growth
Build, constantly improve and manage budget and forecast models for the P&L, balance sheet and cash flows for your division.
Provide analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing judgment and discretion
Identify trends, variances, and key issues and provide recommendations to leadership.
Deliver innovative, high value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision making.
Understand and focus on investment returns / capital allocation, unit economics, payback, IRR for your division.
Perform ad hoc analysis in a variety of areas.
This role will report into the Operations Finance Director.
What You Will Bring As A Finance Manager
Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills in a fast paced and evolving, growing business. This is not a junior level role and thus leadership will be needed at this level.
Strong budgeting and forecasting experience. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as IRR, unit economics etc.
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Quick learner who is passionate about constant improvement
Openly welcomes feedback regarding any aspect of work performance.
Can work independently without close supervision yet knows when to ask for help.
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with business partners at various levels in a clear, concise, and respectful manner.

Intellectually curious self-starter who is not afraid to seek out projects independently.

10+ years of related experience
Experience in e-commerce is highly preferred
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, MBA, and CPA a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Office Excel / PowerPoint and financial modeling skills.
Tableau and ERP knowledge, specifically NetSuite and Oracle, is a plus.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range: $106,500.00 - $149,100.00 annually.
Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
