Job Opportunity: Stroke Quality Improvement Lead


Are you ready to make a significant impact on stroke care and patient outcomes? Join us as a Stroke Quality Improvement Lead and be at the forefront of healthcare transformation!


Role Overview: As a Stroke Quality Improvement Lead, you will be instrumental in analyzing stroke patient pathways within target accounts. Your goal will be to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities to implement innovative solutions that support our pathway redesign programs. You will work collaboratively with healthcare systems to integrate disconnected pathways, optimizing care and reducing the burden on healthcare providers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pathway Analysis: Identify pinch points, inefficiencies, and opportunities in patient pathways to support our medical missions and pathway redesign programs.
  • Project Development: Create and implement project plans for pathway programs and services, including training and facilitation.
  • Program Management: Develop, build, support, and manage scalable stroke pathway programs to deliver improvements in collaboration with key NHS stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with colleagues and engage healthcare teams through project scoping, negotiation, delivery, and close.
  • Environmental Knowledge: Maintain a high level of knowledge about the disease pathway and identify system levers to drive change.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with governance processes and deliver high-quality programs of work.
  • Data Storytelling: Collaborate with Values and Outcomes Consultants to create real-world data stories.
  • Policy Engagement: Establish touchpoints at national and system levels to understand needs and facilitate collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management: With external NHS and policy stakeholders.
  • Horizon Scan: For partnerships with 3rd parties to help deliver pathway change.


Required Competencies:

  • Proven experience in service redesign with the NHS.
  • In-depth knowledge of NHS stroke care pathways, system level knowledge/understanding of ISDNs, AHSNs and ICS relationships as well as government policy for the sector.
  • Clear understanding required of funding flows and payment mechanisms within the NHS that align to pathways.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Expertise in NHS datasets and QoF.
  • ABPI Qualified.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and sales analysis packages.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize management data.
  • Data analytics skills.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (ideal).
  • Ability to bring people together and foster collaboration.
  • Experience with Veeva PromoMats or other MLR systems (ideal).
