Project Name:
  • Zero trust network
Scope:
  • The resources will plan, implement, and provide support for the Cisco Secure Workload solution (CSW). CSW plays a vital role in a Zero Trust Network project by helping to ensure the security of workloads through micro segmentation and policy enforcement across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Duties:
  • The two resources will be involved in the planning, implementation and support of the Cisco secure workload infrastructure.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing, modernizing, managing and supporting our network infrastructure, along with proactive monitoring, analysis and reporting.
  • Achieve a high availability IT network infrastructure and IT network services, in accordance with the government of Alberta, Technology Services, and Service Level Agreements.
  • Hands-on implementation, upgrading, trouble-shooting of network software and hardware infrastructure.
  • Manage and prioritize workload. Check and balance the workload against the team requirements, to result in a service delivery model characterized by cross-training, workload sharing and collaborative team effort.
  • Effective teamwork and proficient communication with team members and supported ministries.
  • Lead and/or participate in networking projects, and plan, design, implement, support and document best practices.
  • Participate and contribute to cross-function it projects by providing technical it networking know-how and expertise.
  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Develop network related procedures.
  • Provide cross training and knowledge transfer to team members.
