We are looking for a highly organized and detail-orientedAU Loan Processor to join our team and play a key role in supporting the end-to-end loan application process. Job Description
As an AU Loan Processor, part of your responsibilities will include:
Documentation Collection & Review
Gather and verify required documents from applicants.
Follow up on missing information to ensure file completeness.
Identify additional documentation required for loan applications.
Income & Expense Analysis:
Analyze income documents (payslips, financial statements) and perform servicing calculations.
Review living expenses against HEMS (Household Expenditure Measure) and provide relevant comments.
Conduct pre-research checks for credit flags.
Loan Processing & Application Management:
Order credit reports, title reports, lender pricing, and valuations.
Compile and enter documents into Broker Engine, Flex, and AOL for assessment.
Ensure client files are accurate, complete, and well-organised.
Track applications daily, ensuring key milestones are met and follow-ups are actioned.
Client & Lender Communication:
Customize and send professional, client-friendly email templates.
Keep clients informed on the status of their applications (minimum every 48 hours).
Manage and resolve “More Information Requests” from lenders, directing credit-critical issues to brokers.
Notify Brokers and Management of any delays in expected timeframes.
Compliance & Reporting:
Follow internal processes to ensure smooth lodgement to settlement.
Conduct file audits and archive documents as necessary.
Maintain detailed records and document all communications.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Australian Mortgage industry.
Experience working for an Australian Client/Business is required
Excellent written and spoken English – Strong communication skills for professional client and lender interactions.
Thorough knowledge of Broker Engine, including email templates and smart docs.
Experience using Flex, AOL, Lender Pricing Tools, and Valuation Ordering systems.
Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping and file management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective problem-solving and follow-up skills to ensure a smooth loan process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Gmail.
Ability to work independently while following established processes.
Prior experience in loan processing or mortgage brokering.
Strong knowledge of Australian lending regulations and policies.
Adaptability to changes in lender requirements and internal processes.
