What You’ll Be Doing

As an Associate Director at Atwell in Land Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing right-of-way projects. Your responsibilities will focus on driving business development, ensuring successful project outcomes, and cultivating a culture of high performance within your team.

Business Development

  • Develop and implement an annual revenue goal and action plan aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish clear business objectives that support overall growth.
  • Meet regularly with clients and vendors to discuss project progress, address concerns, resolve conflicts, and uncover additional business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and solicit new clients and projects, driving the business’s growth.

Project Execution

  • Manage and lead teams, including project managers and land agents, ensuring the effective execution of projects, meeting timelines, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budget management, schedule control, and approval of expenditures.
  • Analyze project variances, including scope creep, and negotiate contract and scope changes when necessary.
  • Ensure that invoicing and payment collection adhere to contract terms and timelines.
  • Initiate corrective actions to ensure project objectives are met and provide regular progress reports to management.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and land agents, fostering teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in land acquisition, project management, and business development.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships, lead teams, and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing teams, including project managers and land agents, to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of land rights acquisition, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance processes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for client meetings and project site visits.
