Description

Splunk, a Cisco company, is building a safer and more resilient digital world with an end-to-end full stack platform made for a hybrid, multi-cloud world. Leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. Our customers love our technology, but it's our caring employees that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination. No matter where in the world or what level of the organization, we approach our work with kindness. So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you. Come help organizations be their best, while you reach new heights with a team that has your back.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Research Operations Program Manager to join Splunk’s Research & Insights team. The Research & Insights team is a new team focused on driving key product decisions through customer insight. This role is essential to building the foundation from which our team can increase impact and deliver on audacious business goals. The focus of your role will be improving our overall recruiting strategies and programs with a goal to enable Researchers to conduct high quality studies, as well as enabling non-Researchers seeking customer feedback with a secondary focus on roadmap management, impact tracking and supporting ongoing critical initiatives.

As a Senior Research Operations Program Manager, you will lead efforts to scale the Research & Insights team’s impact through process improvements, new programs and better alignment of tools to Researcher’s needs.

Partnering closely with Research leadership, the Research & Insights team and design, product and customer experience operations you will motivate changes that allow Splunkers to operate in more customer-centric ways and support major objectives for the organization. You will develop a committed, prioritized roadmap of Research Operations programs that align with the direction of the team and combine strategic and innovative thinking with an ability to execute and own a variety of programs and projects.
What you’ll do
  • Own and drive the Splunk user research recruiting programs
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to track recruiting health and success
  • Drive key behavior changes to Researchers and non-Researchers talking to customers
  • Partner with other Operations teams (Design, Product, Customer Success and Experience) and Program Management to ensure greater efficiency and alignment around customer feedback activities and related programs
  • Partner closely with Researchers and research leadership to pro-actively identify unmet needs, drive pilot process changes and scale to the whole organization
What you’ll bring
  • 8+ years experience in Research Operations or Program Management in a Research & Insights organization
  • Deep expertise and demonstrated success operationalizing Research process, tools and people.
  • Advanced understanding of Research, Design and Product Development processes and deliverables
  • Demonstrated success improving existing and implementing new scalable programs that reduce inefficiencies, improve impact and reduce friction in research and insights related activities, especially recruiting
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce time-to-recruit customer profiles of various complexities and to improve the overall quality of participants in a cost effective way for both Researchers and non-Researchers and employing a balance of self-service and hands-on recruiting
  • Highly organized and structured in your approach, ability to coordinate partners and proactively communicate about progress anticipating risks, needs and opportunities
  • Deep expertise in incentive management, NDA’s, GDPR and research ethics
  • Demonstrated success designing, implementing and communicating about complex multi-stream programs
  • Demonstrated expertise maximising in-house tools and databases, panel management systems, recruiting vendors and software tools to improve recruiting efforts
  • Ability to work autonomously with high ownership of outcomes and program success
  • Preferred: expertise with research road-mapping, impact tracking, budget management, procurement, vendor relationships and knowledge management (research repositories/libraries), insights communication and socialization strategies and/or training and professional development for Researchers
