Magazine Writer (Remote, Contractor)
The Art of Education University is seeking exceptional educators to write for its online magazine, which receives hundreds of thousands of views per month. Writers submit three articles, along with 5-7 original photos each month. Writers must be in the K-12 art room, have strong writing and communication skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of trends and best practices in art education, and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
Structured as a remote part-time, project-based, contractor position. This position will report to the Media Content Manager
This position is eligible to remote work from the following locations: USA.
We grow amazing teachers by providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning at every stage of their career.
Submit three articles, along with 5-7 original photos, to be published in The Art of Education University's Online Magazine each month.
Create footage for one Instagram reel per article.
Communicate with the Media Content Manager and Writing Team weekly to determine article topics, receive training, and collaborate on articles.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Open to suggestions and feedback.
Passion and knowledge about up-to-date trends and best practices in art education.
Organized and responsible with deadlines.
Comfortable and proficient with technology.
Writers must be in the K-12 art room
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university; therefore, 95-98% of one’s time will be on or using technology.
Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

Writers earn a base stipend of $450 each month.
