Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Warehouse Engineer to develop, manage, and maintain the data warehouse. This role will work closely with the Business Intelligence team and stakeholders across the organization to design and optimize data infrastructure, ensuring efficient ETL processes and high-quality data integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and reliable data warehouse architecture.
  • Collaborate with business intelligence analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate data requirements into optimized data models.
  • Develop and manage ETL workflows to integrate healthcare data from EHR, EMR, claims data, and patient records into the data warehouse.
  • Implement data quality controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Optimize data warehouse performance, improving query efficiency, latency, and scalability.
  • Build and monitor automated systems for ingesting healthcare member, claims, and quality data.
  • Integrate healthcare data sources while ensuring compliance with industry standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT).
  • Conduct data analysis to identify and resolve data issues, ensuring clean and structured datasets.
  • Maintain organized database structures to optimize storage, performance, and historical tracking.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the organization's data infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Cloud Data Warehouse environments (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience working with healthcare industry data and standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT).
  • Expertise in ETL processes, data integration, and data transformation using dbt.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling and data warehouse design principles.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience managing large datasets across multiple database systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and Agile Project Management tools.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, TFS, or similar Agile tools.
  • Familiarity with AWS ETL tools (AWS Glue, Data Brew).
  • Knowledge of business analytics and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
