Senior Project Manager ServiceNow Delivery

Job Description:

The State of California (Sacramento-Based Client) is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in IT project management and ServiceNow implementation. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing scope, schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring the successful delivery of ServiceNow professional services engagements. The ideal candidate must have a PMP certification, expertise in Agile methodologies, and a strong background in leading large-scale IT projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the ServiceNow implementation projects, ensuring adherence to the Scope of Work.
  
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and contractor resources.
  
• Act as Scrum Master, leading iterative Sprints for ServiceNow configuration.
  
• Conduct weekly and ad hoc meetings with the client to discuss:
  • Project status, accomplishments, upcoming tasks.
    
  • Budget and risk management strategies.
    
• Provide weekly written project status reports.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  
• PMP Certification (mandatory, no substitutions).
  
• 7+ years of experience in project management, including:
  • Managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
    
  • Leading technical teams on enterprise projects.
    
  • Risk management and mitigation strategies.
    
  • Helping organizations adopt new IT systems.
    

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  
• 9+ years of project management experience, including 4+ years as a Senior PM on large-scale IT projects.
