Scope of This Role
Looking for a strong leader to join the Audience Measurement FP&A team to partner with the Executive Committee member leading Global Data Solutions. The Audience Measurement FP&A team is a fast paced, high performing team that drives outcomes. The role will lead forecasting, planning, and reporting of a cost base of ~$500m and play a key role as a strategic partner in transforming the organization to deliver audience measurement of the future. This individual must be a collaborative problem-solver who not only understands the numbers, but also the broader business context around to drive business performance. To be successful you will need to communicate effectively and influence senior leaders to make data driven decisions, working across organizational boundaries to effect change.
ResponsibilitiesLead the GDS finance team to deliver financial planning and forecasting cycles for people cost, non people cost and capex. Monitor and manage risks and opportunities.Provide insightful analysis and reporting against these plans and prior year performance.Act as trusted advisor to the GDS team, providing recommendations to senior leadership on financial impacts.Optimize cash and ROI - manage a scalable cost structure, identify and implement efficiencies Investment appraisal, support appropriate investment decisions based on a clear understanding of ROI and trade offs.Embed product profitability so there is a shared understanding of end to end performance of products.Partner with key stakeholders including IT, Operations, Commercial, Accounting, HR to deliver on objectives.Be a champion of continuous improvement of the FP&A function through the identification of opportunities across people, processes, and technology.A Little About YouA successful Senior Director will be a proactive leader who wants to drive results. Desire to drive continuous improvement of the FP&A function, including implementing best practices, streamlining processes and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Finance or AccountingPrior FP&A Experience (10+ Years)Demonstrated experience in cost management, financial planning, financial modelling and investment analysisPreference for candidate with revenue and full P&L experienceExceptional project management and organizational skills with proven experience leading complex projectsSound understanding of the media ecosystem including some understanding of Nielsen’s products and servicesProficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Suite Prior experience with SAP (S4Hanna), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and SAC is a plus Nielsen: Enabling your best to power a better media future. A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $100,000 - $300,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
