Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm (London Time) with 1hour unpaid break
  • Contract: Independent Contractor
  • Client Timezone: London, UK

Scope:

  • Handle financial records for multiple small business clients
  • Work within established processes and standards
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless financial operations
  • Adapt to various accounting systems and financial technology platforms
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial information


Responsibilities:
  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly
  • Post accruals and prepaid expenses
  • Manage amortization of prepaid expenses and booked assets
  • Execute monthly process journal entries as needed
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to bank transactions
  • Process documents using systems like Hubdoc or Dext
  • Manage accounts inbox and create bills
  • Reconcile bills to outstanding purchase orders
  • Clear invoices and bills promptly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records


Requirements
  • Familiarity with AU and UK accounting practices
  • Experience with accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks
  • Experience in system connectors (either Hubdoc or Dext)
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and UK Taxes
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in numerical work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in English for clear communication
  • Strong familiarity with A2X, Shopify, and Amazon integrations
