Job Summary
The Business Analyst supports business operations by performing analytical work requiring root cause analysis and/or audits of existing business processes, procedures and/or systems for the purposes of identifying and executing improvement initiatives. Testing and documentation of system(s) is critical in this role. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring operational data integrity, ease of use, proper functionality and consistency with set objectives.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Management or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' technical non-clerical with insurance, managed care, healthcare, technology related field or experience in analysis and research in complex system technology will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

Experience with health related non-clerical experience (such as claims processing, customer service, adjustments, etc.) with an insurance, managed care, healthcare or technology related organization desired.

Knowledge of insurance technology systems such as claims processing, marketing, membership, enrollment, customer service, financial and provider systems desired.

Knowledge and experience performing operational function desired.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proficiency working with MS Office Suite, such as Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.

Responsibilities
