Our client, a creative agency specializing in branding, marketing, and video production for schools in the United States, is seeking a Video Editor to join their team. This role requires strong storytelling abilities, advanced technical editing skills, and adaptability to a fully remote workflow. Location: Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM EST
Video Editing & Assembly:
Edit and assemble high-quality video content for branding, marketing, and digital campaigns with a background on OTT and commercial projects.
Craft engaging narratives that resonate with audiences and effectively tell a story.
Remote Post-Production Workflow:
Collaborate with a fully remote team using tools like Frame.io and a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) system for asset storage and project management.
Creative Storytelling:
Work closely with producers, videographers, and the creative team to develop and refine compelling video narratives.
Integrate creative techniques that emphasize both storytelling and technical precision.
Post-Production Tasks:
Execute color correction, audio mixing, VFX integration, motion graphics (GFX), sound design, and final exports to deliver polished, professional videos.
Ensure seamless incorporation of visual effects and dynamic motion graphics to enhance storytelling.
Brand & Commercial Consistency:
Maintain consistency with brand guidelines, narrative style, and client objectives, particularly in OTT and commercial contexts.
Adapt and optimize video content for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) while preserving the commercial and storytelling quality.
File Management & Troubleshooting:
Organize and archive footage efficiently using a NAS system.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to remote editing, NAS access, and file transfers.
Industry Trend Awareness:
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in video production, OTT platforms, and commercial editing.
Experience:
2+ years of experience as a Video Editor with a robust portfolio showcasing storytelling and commercial editing.
Having experience with OTT is a huge plus.
Demonstrated experience working with remote post-production workflows and NAS systems.
Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Frame.io, and Parsec.
Strong skills in VFX, motion graphics (GFX), and sound design.
Excellent command of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to remote editing workflows.
Familiarity with optimizing video content for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Technical Requirements:
Must be comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
A minimum of 1Gbps internet speed is required for smooth collaboration and file transfers.
