Job description

Overview:

If so, then we should talk… Nortal’s Global Product and Experience (GPX) team is searching for a Senior Product Designer. Our team´s goal is to deliver a range of design and innovation services for clients across Europe, the Middle East, and North America.  

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping digital experiences by overseeing and driving design activities that create compelling, user-centered products. Your goal will be to deliver empowering and meaningful user experiences across digital solutions within Nortal’s business account. 

This is a multifaceted role, where you will collaborate closely with service designers, product managers, and agile sprint teams to bring innovative ideas to life. You will be part of a large-scale development program with 13 agile teams, working alongside POs, Scrum Masters, backend and frontend developers, and testers to create impactful digital solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualization and design of user interfaces in Figma 
  • Creation of UI concepts in the form of high-fidelity mockups and user flows 
  • Compliance with accessibility standards 
  • Coordination with the cross-functional design team 
  • Adherence to project-specific requirements 
  • Development of user stories related to UX/UI in collaboration with the PO and development team 
  • Support in setting up user tests for the interfaces 
  • Collaboration with frontend developers 
  • UX/UI review of developed increments 
  • Compliance with design system guidelines 
Qualifications:
  • You have an excellent knowledge of design tools such as Figma 
  • You are experienced in the use of Atlassian Jira and Confluence 
  • You have strong empathy for users and can identify their current and future needs.  
  • You know how to manage stakeholders' expectations and facilitate discussions across high-risk and complexity. 
  • You have experience in the product development process starting with user research uncovering pain points and opportunities to detailed UX/UI design specifications.   
  • You have experience working in a cross-functional team, involving research, design, engineering, data analysis, and business.  
  • You have excellent communication skills to communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively.   
  • You have experience in design systems and supporting on the development of it.    
  • You are familiar with different delivery approaches (e.g. scrum) and project management principles. 
  • Consulting/agency experience is a bonus. 
  • You have Experience in the implementation of barrier-free designs (WCAG 2.1 Level AA[A]) 
  • You have Experience in agile software development  
  • Effective communication skills in writing and verbally both in German and English
