We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Product Manager on the Enterprise Portfolio team at ULearn. In this role, you will work closely with experts in instructional and visual design, business engagement, product marketing, and learning experience delivery to develop enterprise learning products focused on career and leadership skill development.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will need to understand both business and customer needs, build and maintain product and project roadmaps, and manage complex projects through agile planning. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to deliver personalized, relevant, and valuable learning experiences to Comcast employees.

Through research and testing, Senior Product Managers anticipate employee development challenges and recommend the creation of new learning products or refinements to existing assets to address those challenges. They thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, navigating ambiguity and competing priorities with ease. Job Description

Product Strategy / Roadmap: Sets and adopts long-term strategy that translates goals and objectives into tangible results.

  • Strategic Planning: Aligns portfolio with Comcast’s current goals, future strategy, and clearly defines value proposition.
  • Portfolio Management: Provides integrated management of multiple products by monitoring and forecasting supply and demand to maintain differentiation and mitigate product obsolescence throughout its lifecycle.
  • Minimum Viable Product: Leverages UX research and learner insights to negotiate costs, build, and time to market in the alignment with minimum viable product.
  • Product Conception/Curation: Identifies and incubates new product opportunities from initial design to establishing a strong business case for investment. Rapidly evaluates the business viability of product design ideas by setting minimum parameters and iterating prototypes to further refine the user experience.
    • Key Collaborators: Learning Experience Design, Learning Technology & Delivery, and ULearn Engagement

Market Intelligence: Understands and applies market intelligence to maintain and improve product/portfolio relevance and impact.

  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Monitors industry intel (e.g., publications, professional associations, etc.) to remain informed, and takes appropriate action to ensure alignment is maintained.
  • Market Assessment: Monitors a variety of sources (e.g., employee engagement surveys, key performance metrics, focus group outputs, product feedback, etc.) to maintain alignment with current and emerging organizational needs.
  • Stakeholder Insights: Maintains collaborative partnerships with ULearn Engagement team to understand current and predicted business needs. Further, actively pursue cues from social and lifestyle trends based on data and insights to anticipate the impact on business and learner needs, preferences, positioning, and messaging.

How:

  • Lead matrixed project teams of learning professionals to define, develop, and deploy learning products against a data-driven roadmap.
  • Facilitate a highly engaged team environment via collaboration with peer design, product, engagement, and delivery teammates to produce effective learning solutions.
  • Partner w/ peers to evaluate product roadmap and library to ensure content, modalities, and experiences create organizational coherence, optimize knowledge, and build capacity for all of Comcast.
  • Create and maintain forward-looking product strategy for enterprise learning at Comcast that yields learning experience that drive Comcast culture to create a positive and consistent employee experience, build the skills Comcast employees need to advance in their chosen field, try something new, and increase their impact, so that every employee can build thriving careers that last, and mitigate risk for Comcast by informing employees on laws and regulations; satisfying important legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project team capacity, project timelines, and budget to meet project deliverables
  • Continually enhance our product offerings through monitoring of effectiveness of solutions with data.
  • Manage in-house resources, (SMEs), and outside consultants to produce innovative learning solutions. 
  • Manage workstream leads and supervise all components of respective training program(s), including: learning objectives, performance objectives, participant materials, facilitator materials, videos, job aids and assessments.
  • You stay contemporary in the Learning & Development industry and adjacent fields

  • You are familiar with working in both waterfall and agile environments and are successful in both
  • You navigate ambiguity, work well under pressure, and adapt quickly to changing information and priorities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of managing and leading project teams (not direct people management)
  • Minimum of three years of experience in learning and development
  • Strong knowledge of Agile project management process and driving innovative thinking through Design Thinking processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven expertise with large-scale organizational learning initiatives
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships in a matrixed organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MA/MS or equivalent in experience and non-university education/certification: Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Adult Education or related discipline
  • Product Management certification
  • Experience and/or proficiency with Smartsheet, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or other eLearning development tools.
  • Knowledge of Workday, online learning models, and audio/video production.
  • UX Interviewing/Research experience
  • Proficient facilitator

Salary Range: $70,611.05-$158,874.86

Compensation

National Pay Range: $73,736.12 USD-$172,819.03 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
