Job description

Overview:

Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer/Architect for our US Government client.
This will be a 100% remote contract-to-hire position.
SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities:

Work as part of a small cross-functional team, participate in development and support the team's effort to maintain a secure web presence.
Will be responsible for managing web security applications to monitor and mitigate attacks on web-facing applications.
Ensure internal and external data security, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
Implement observability across platforms for application monitoring and alerting.
Deploy threat detection and mitigation techniques to ensure data/application security.
Work with auditors to ensure security compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Information Security. Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of related experience in cybersecurity and NIST standards along with 5+ years of technical writing.
Previous experience with Human Code Defender product.
Strong Networking knowledge.
Must have a functional comprehension of web application architecture.
Strong understanding of PCI Security requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
One or more of the following certifications:
- CompTIA Security +
- CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
- CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor
- CISSP
- CISSP-ISSEP
- CISSP-ISSAP
- CISSP-ISSMP
Excellent communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
