Job Overview:

As a Senior Drafter, you will play a key role in developing detailed and accurate architectural drawings, site plans, and as-built documentation utilizing point cloud data and Revit software. Your expertise in Revit will be crucial in creating families, models, and frequently used components to streamline project workflows. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring all as-built drawings and project documentation are meticulously updated and maintained for project close-out. This position requires a high level of proficiency in architectural drafting, Revit modeling, and point cloud integration, along with a keen attention to detail and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting and Modeling:
- Utilize point cloud scans to generate accurate site plans, floor plans, and detailed architectural drawings in Revit.
- Assist in building and maintaining a standard detail library within Revit to support construction and streamline project workflows.
- Create, modify, and maintain Revit families to improve efficiency and consistency across Projects.

2. Architectural Documentation:
- Draft architectural details, elevations, sections, and construction documents to support project execution.
- Ensure all as-built drawings are accurate and up to date for project records and future reference.
- Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with building codes and Regulations.

3. Project Close-Out Support:
 - Gather and compile all cut sheets for materials used in the project.
 - Ensure as-built documentation is properly updated and organized for final project close- out packages.
 - Maintain a comprehensive document management system to ensure accessibility and accuracy of project records.

4. Quality Control and Assurance:
- Conduct thorough quality checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, or omissions in drafted drawings.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and scale to maintain precision in all deliverables.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently.

5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Participate in project meetings and design reviews, providing technical expertise and insight.
- Effectively communicate with project stakeholders to address drafting concerns and ensure alignment with project goals.


Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience as an architectural drafter, with a strong emphasis on Revit and point cloud integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, including family creation, modeling, and documentation workflows.
  • Experience working with Trimble scanners and point cloud data for architectural drafting.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction practices, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in producing architectural drawings and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
