We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing our data architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency across our data systems. In This Role You Will Be:
- Collaborating closely with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources
- Designing, developing, and owning data pipelines that power analytics for business, research, and product teams
- Developing elegant data models to deliver business intelligence to stakeholders across the company under a self-service analytics model
- Implementing and evangelizing data engineering best practices, including testing, incremental modeling, documentation, and data snapshots
- Working in a cross-functional, distributed team environment where your self-starting personality will thrive
To Thrive In This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent field
- 2 - 5 years experience in a data-focused engineering role
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases and cloud-based analytical data warehouses
- Advanced expertise in SQL query design and optimization
- Experience developing and maintaining custom data integrations
- Experience with cloud services and products like GCP, Big Query, Docker
- Proficiency with programming languages such as GO, Python, JavaScript, or C++
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DBT, including testing, documentation, macros, and operations
- Experience with Airbyte and Terraform
