Regional Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic leader to join our company to lead our Power Generation/Industrial business segment and regional operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various stakeholders, connecting with people from technicians to board members, and driving the company's growth and success through your entrepreneurial drive and expertise in commercial processes. The ideal candidate is tactful, a quick learner, possesses high energy, and has a proven track record of building businesses and exceptional sales growth, operating successfully in a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a multi-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance. Set clear goals and expectations, provide guidance and support, and promote professional development.
- Market and Decision Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies related to industrial equipment and services. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential areas for expansion and diversification. Utilize data-driven analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding operational strategies, resource allocation, and market expansion.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plans, setting ambitious goals and implementing initiatives to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
- Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate the company's vision, goals, and performance to various stakeholders through presentations, reports, and other communication channels.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Exhibit a proactive and innovative mindset to identify new business opportunities, drive growth, and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition in the industrial equipment and services market.
- Financial Acumen: Assist in managing the company's finances, identifying ways to increase revenue and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports, and preparing operating budgets.
- Commercial Processes: Oversee and optimize commercial processes, including sales, pricing, contract negotiations, and project management, to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Building: Connect with individuals at all levels within the organization to understand their needs, address concerns, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Operations Management: Maintain profitable and efficient parts and service departments, including responsibility for inventory management. Monitor financial performance, plan, and implement necessary corrective actions to achieve and exceed budgets. Ensure all departments and staff function within safety guidelines and ensure all work is done in a safe manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement consistent with company values. Partner with leadership to further develop processes, tools, key indicators, staff development, and safety efforts for continuous improvement of the entire organization.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the power generation and industrial equipment and services sector, with a track record of success in progressively senior roles. Experience in operations and business management for 5+ years is preferred.
- Leadership skills: Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to inspire and motivate leaders and individual contributors, foster collaboration, and promote a positive work culture.
- Commercial acumen: Sound understanding of commercial processes, including sales, pricing, contract negotiations, customer relationship, and project management. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
- Continuous learner: Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies, industry trends, and market dynamics. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing business environments.
- Technical skills: Required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements. Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to leverage insights for effective decision-making.
- Excellent communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Including conflict management, business negotiation, and organizational decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, industrial management) is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Dynamics CRM.
