As the Mentoring Program & Alumni Engagement Coordinator, you will build and lead a dynamic mentoring program that bridges the gap between current students and alumni. In this role, you will develop opportunities for students to connect with experienced WSU alumni and peers, providing guidance and support as they prepare for their professional journeys. You will oversee the mentoring platform, curate valuable training content, and ensure that both mentors and mentees have the tools they need for a successful experience. Additionally, you will play a key role in strengthening alumni engagement, promoting networking events, and collaborating with university partners to enhance the overall WSU Global Campus community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive mentoring program that connects students with alumni and peers.

  • Recruit and train mentors in collaboration with the WSU Alumni Association and Global Campus advisors.

  • Oversee program operations, track success metrics, and implement improvements.

  • Promote and support alumni engagement initiatives, including networking events and giving campaigns.

  • Partner with marketing and communications to share mentoring success stories and engagement opportunities.

This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $3,750 - $4,987.50 monthly | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in customer or student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

This is a remote/telework position with the successful candidate needing to meet WSU’s technical system requirements for working remotely. Telework positions will require signing a telework agreement. Minimum technical requirements include an internet bandwidth of 4.0 Mbps for upload and download. WSU will provide other technical equipment determined necessary for telework positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience administering a mentoring program or event management experience.

  • One (1) year of experience working with volunteer staff.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create professional relationships with diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated commitment to practices of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
