Role Summary
The Infrastructure Operations Specialist’s primary responsibility is to manage Carmel’s Azure cloud environment and Microsoft 365 administration. You will also work with the Infrastructure team on maintaining and managing the company’s computer networks and servers, ensuring optimal performance by monitoring and troubleshooting any issues.
This role involves the deployment, administration, and monitoring of Azure solutions, as well as managing identity, governance, virtual networks, and computing in a cloud environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and security of our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other related services. You will assist the Support team as an escalation resource for issues related to Microsoft software and connectivity.
Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring smooth and efficient network operations.

What you’ll do
- Manage and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user management, security configurations, and service optimization.
- Implement and maintain identity and access management policies as directed.
- Manage the performance of virtual networks, storage, and computing resources within Azure.
- Assist in management of on-prem servers through the installation of software, configuration, patch management, and maintenance.
- Assist in the data backup processes and monitor performance of backups.
- Participate in any disaster recovery actions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with others to support business objectives and improve cloud and Microsoft 365 services.
- Monitor network performance and identify any issues.
- Assist as needed with the remote configuration and maintenance of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
