Job Summary

This is a mission-critical role for the business. The Finance Manager Moving Group & Shared Experience is a key and highly visible position that will be partnering with business leaders across Porch, accounting, analytics, and HR to provide insights and guidance on the company's financial performance. This role requires strong business acumen, keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, communicating with multiple business partners, deep dive analytics, and an effective communicator.   

We are looking for someone who loves partnering with others and supporting the building and maintaining of the P&L to support decision-marking.  

What You Will Do As A Finance Manager (Moving Group & Shared Experience) 

• You will serve as a hands-on business partner for your division. Collaborate across multiple teams, providing financial support and key insights to BU leaders.  

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the divisions. 

• Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles (quarterly) for your division. 

• Review month-end results with your division. Understand the numbers and division performance. 

• Assist in improving and maintaining budget and forecast models for the P&L for your division. 

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies to optimize financial performance. 

• Deliver innovative, high-value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision-making. 

• Report and be able to speak to financial results and related implications monthly to senior level managers and key stakeholders. Identify key risks and opportunities. 

• Provide analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing judgement and discretion. 

• Identify trends, variances, and key issues and provide recommendations to leadership. 

• Deliver innovative, high value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision making.  

• Understand and focus on investment returns/capital allocation, unit economics, payback, LTV to CAC ratio. 

• Update and summarize weekly dashboard reports for BU leaders. 

• Assist in updating and tracking monthly KPIs & OKRs for each BU. 

• Perform ad hoc analysis in a variety of areas, creating dashboards and providing mid-month updates from SmartView, Tableau and other ad-hoc data sources. 

What You Will Bring As A Finance Manager (Moving Group & Shared Experience) 

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in an FP&A position or a similar role, preferably in consumer services-based industry: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or comparable degree  

• In-depth knowledge of finance principles, including strong budgeting and forecasting proficiency, experience and understanding of US GAAP, and strong understanding of financial concepts such as LTV to CAC, unit economics, EBITDA, etc. 

• Demonstrated wide-ranging experience in job responsibilities with multiple examples of achieving results and showing significant progress in changing environments.  

• Ability to act independently and determine new methods and procedures that would yield productivity improvements. 

• Strong communication skills in a fast-paced evolving, growing business. 

• Strong organizational skills coupled with ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.   

• Strong acumen with data manipulation and ERP systems. 

• Quick learner who is passionate about constant improvement. 

• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with business partners at all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner. 

• Strong work ethic, willing to work hard with extra effort when needed to get the job done. 

• Intellectually curious self-starter who is fearless in seeking out projects independently. 

• High attention to detail and willingness to dig into the numbers to gain key insights. 

• Team player who enjoys building solid relationships with appropriate professionalism, humor, and humility. 

• Capable of analyzing and managing data with a strong focus on data integrity and accuracy 

• Advanced Microsoft Office Excel / PowerPoint / Google Workspace and financial modeling skills. 

• Tableau and NetSuite and Oracle Smart View experience is a plus. 

• Knowledge in business data analysis and data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI) is a plus 

• Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap  

• Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
