The EverPro business within EverCommerce offers business management solutions that help home and field service small businesses work more efficiently and improve every touchpoint with their customers.  Software solutions customized for field services, landscaping, pest and lawn, remodeling and roofing help these businesses with everything from scheduling and tracking jobs, to quoting, invoicing and payments processing, to customer relationship, review and reputation management.  

The Invoicing vertical within EverPro focuses on business management and payments solutions for small service businesses through our Invoice Simple and Joist products. These solutions help service professionals efficiently manage their business finances, from creating estimates and invoices to processing payments and tracking jobs. Our products serve hundreds of thousands of freelancers, solo entrepreneurs and microbusinesses across hundreds of industries across multiple geographies. 

Position Summary: 

The Data Scientist will be a key member of our Data Product Team, developing and implementing advanced analytics and AI solutions for our mobile platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to build intelligent features that not only help small businesses understand and improve their financial performance but also directly enhance user experience by providing end-users with actionable profit intelligence reports and insights. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Analytics, you'll work on developing profit intelligence capabilities, predictive models, and data-driven insights that directly impact our customers' business success. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Advanced Analytics & Model Development: 

• Design and implement machine learning models for revenue prediction and business forecasting 

• Develop algorithms for automated financial analysis and profit optimization 

• Create intelligent systems for pricing recommendations and market benchmarking 

• Build anomaly detection systems for financial transactions and business patterns 

• Product Development: 

• Design and implement AI-driven features that deliver profit intelligence reports and insights directly to end-users, enhancing customer interaction and satisfaction. 

• Partner with product teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into our mobile applications 

• Develop and optimize job costing and profitability tracking algorithms 

• Create automated systems for invoice analysis and financial report generation 

• Design and implement intelligent workflow optimization solutions 

• Data Infrastructure & Processing: 

• Partner with Data Engineers to build robust data pipelines for processing financial and operational data 

• Develop systems for real-time data analysis and insight generation 

• Implement efficient data storage and retrieval systems for ML models 

• Ensure data quality and reliability across all analytics systems 

• Cross-functional Collaboration: 

• Work closely with product managers to define technical requirements 

• Partner with UI/UX teams to create intuitive data visualizations 

• Collaborate with engineering teams on feature implementation 

• Support business teams with data-driven insights and analysis  

Qualifications: 

• 7+ years experience in data science or machine learning engineering 

• Strong background in developing production ML models, particularly in financial applications 

• Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and cloud infrastructure 

• Proven track record of implementing AI-powered features in production environments 

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks 

• Experience with financial data analysis and business intelligence 

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; PhD preferred 

• Experience with mobile app analytics and A/B testing
