Job Description

COMC has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Strategic Accounts. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic B2B partnership initiatives that generate additional revenue and expand our footprint. This role involves nurturing and growing existing partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, renegotiating contracts, forging strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading COMC’s business development and strategic accounts efforts to achieve revenue targets and strengthen long-term partner relations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B partnerships, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to develop and implement effective partnership strategies. This role will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic account plans and priorities to meet the company’s revenue and growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business partnerships and opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Oversee the development of proposals and the overall contract process with potential strategic partners.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand the company’s customer base and service offerings.

Market Analysis and Planning:

  • Utilize data, market insights and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with product team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that unlock new opportunities to grow revenue from strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align marketing initiatives with B2B strategies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability with our business partnerships.
  • Ensure that all strategic account activities align with the company’s financial goals and objectives.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Prepare regular reports on performance, business development activities, and market insights for the executive team.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine partnership strategies and improve overall effectiveness.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales and business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading B2B partnership efforts and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, contract development, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Additional Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledgeable about professional sporting industry (NBA, NFL, MLB etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of trading card industry and collecting experience strong preferred
