Database Tester

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Tester with extensive experience in ETL QA Testing, SQL, and Python Scripting to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Snowflake and Banking domain testing. This is a remote role that requires an analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ETL testing to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  

• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate database integrity and performance.
  

• Develop and execute Python scripts for test automation and validation.
  

• Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing for database applications.
  

• Work with Snowflake to test data pipelines and optimize query performance.
  

• Ensure compliance with Banking domain regulations and security standards.
  

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and troubleshoot defects.
  

• Document test cases, test scripts, and defect reports in a structured manner.
  

• Participate in Agile methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Database Testing / ETL QA Testing.
  

• Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced level).
  

• Hands-on experience with Python Scripting for automation.
  

• Experience working with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
  

• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data validation techniques.
  

• Previous experience in the Banking domain is mandatory.
  

• Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security protocols in the banking sector.
  

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  

• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  

• Knowledge of automation frameworks for database testing.
  

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
