Job description

This is a remote position.

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring software is bug-free? ITClinical, a leading healthcare IT company in Lisbon, is seeking a curious and enthusiastic Junior Software QA Tester to join our growing team!


In this dynamic role, you'll be a detective of the digital world, uncovering and reporting bugs to make our software the best it can be. You'll collaborate with passionate developers and contribute to a fun and supportive work environment.


Here's what you'll do:
  • Become a Testing Master! Learn and execute manual testing methodologies to identify bugs and ensure functionality.

  • Think Like a User! Participate in user experience (UX) testing, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring a smooth user experience.

  • Communication is Key! Write clear and concise test specifications and collaborate effectively with developers to ensure a smooth resolution process.

  • BDD Detective! Gain an understanding of our Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approach using Cucumber as a framework.

  • Stay Curious! Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tools and technologies as you dive deeper into the exciting world of software testing.



Requirements


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, or similar) a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for finding hidden issues.

  • Excellent written and communication skills to document bugs and collaborate effectively.

  • A passion for technology and a desire to learn new things.

  • A team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.


Bonus Points!
  • Knowledge of Java and/or Javascript (a plus, as we explore automation testing in the future).

  • Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber (a plus).
