The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As the Business Development and Partner Manager you are pivotal in developing short and long term strategies to bring our patient grouping methodology to the market. Responsible for generating leads through various channels and drive revenue with relationships with payers, providers, and business partners. Required to develop and execute strategic planning and meeting revenue and growth targets. Your focus is on driving business opportunities for payment and performance management through providers, business partners, government, and commercial plan programs.  This role focuses on developing the strategies by business segment, working in concert with these segments, identifying growth opportunities and executing on said plan while measuring results against said plan. This position participates in marketing strategy and messaging VOC-based recommendations for product development, product enhancements, or service offerings to match client needs.  You will identify potential partners, growing our reputation as the leader in the healthcare value space.  Looking for a leader and collaborator, contributing to the development of our strategic plans and priorities and engaging with sales teams to help drive downstream revenue attainment.

As a Business Development & Commercialization Manager you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs and opportunities for product differentiation. Research and identify clients across payer, provider, and business partners channels. Coordinate pipeline updates with sales channels and provide updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market insights.

Commercialization Planning: Collaborate with cross functional teams including C&ER, marketing, and sales to develop commercialization strategies and targeted campaigns aligned with provider, payer, and business partner channels. This includes:

  • Engage with sales team to drive and support revenue tracking and attainment
  • Participate in association meetings to understand policies, opportunities, & client needs
  • Direct collaboration with BUs engaging and aligning around growing core methodology revenue and penetration, including meetings to provide a broad update and discussion
  • Use consultation and education opportunities to secure VOC intelligence
  • Help develop our “Story” and messaging

Product Development Support: Provide input during product development process to ensure commercial viability, regulatory compliance, customer usability, and market fit. Determine how methodologies can be integrated into grouper apps and workflows that use grouper apps. Support and measure methodology adoption and penetration. Partner with C&ER on writing use cases for how customers are using patient grouping software to be used in the sales process.

Strategic Business Partner Relationships: Responsible to assume select GAMN business partner contract and relationships. Develop and drive short- and long-term strategies, track renewals and opportunities, host leader discussions, and work in hand with the contract management team. Responsible for all initiatives aligned to said business partner for HIS.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND Six (6) years’ experience in med-tech, payer, provider,  business development, and government health policy or sales

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • 5 years of experience in leading and directing a team
  • 5 years of marketing. Commercialization, and/or product development
  • 5 years working knowledge of major players and stakeholders in payment and delivery system reform initiatives and/or value-based payment.
  • Five (5) years of provider and payment methodologies supporting private, public, providers, payers, or government.
  • Two (2+) years of experience with proprietary and public methodologies
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • [Master's] degree in hospital administration, MBA, marketing, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Skills include written and oral communication, presentations internal and external to include CEO, CFO, and SVP levels; collaboration, and influencing
  • Three to five years of Profit and Loss Statement and Revenue Recognition Rules
  • Experience in identifying and driving government and/or commercial commercialization
  • Understanding of policies and regulations impacting commercial and government healthcare payer and provider program needs
  • Working knowledge of value-based payment policies and benefits, and of major players and stakeholders in government and commercial payment as well as the health care quality arena
  • Work well with internal and external subject matter experts to produce an aligned proposal and work nights/weekends occasionally as required to meet submission deadlines and international time zones
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing political landscapes and players while maintaining focus on business priorities

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
