FTE: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Unit: UAW 

Department/Location: Registration and Billing 

Wage range: $21.99 - $29.15. Offer rate commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package.

We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others. 

 

We are seeking a Benefits Coordinator – Services to provide support and tracking of Medicaid benefits for staff, agencies, and consumers. The person in this position will assist with enrollment in Medicaid for consumers, providing support and training to staff and agencies.

 

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. This position is remote with occasional regional travel to offsite areas such as hospitals, offices, and/or clinics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services field and two years of experience in related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
  • Experience with Medicaid and DHHS.  
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Social Security benefits.
  • Advanced understanding of and experience with people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database management.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
