Role Description

We are seeking a Social Science Researcher (Anthropologist) to join our Anthropology/Consumer Insights team. This role is pivotal in supporting our fast-paced, global research projects, focusing on cultural and ethnographic studies in various industries such as food, health, financial services, beauty, and personal care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in human and social sciences and a passion for applying anthropological insights to business challenges.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Research and Analysis:

o Conduct cultural and ethnographic research through our SaaS platform.

o Interpret and transform data into actionable insights for clients.

o Prepare and present research findings in a clear and impactful manner.

Client Interaction:

o When needed, support client-facing activities, including managing meetings and documenting client success notes.

o Serve as a customer success liaison, ensuring clients are informed and utilizing research effectively.

o When needed, provide real-time answers to client inquiries and offer expert advice during meetings.

Project Management:

o Schedule and coordinate research projects, which typically last 3 days in the US and 1-1.5 weeks globally.

o Collaborate with the Director of Research and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: MA or PhD in Human and Social Sciences (Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Linguistics, History, Political Science, or related fields).

Skills:

o Strong qualitative research skills.

o Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

o Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

o Critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

o Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.


Desired Qualifications

· Experience: Academic experience preferred; industry experience is a plus.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
