JOB SUMMARY
 

As Soligent, a leading clean energy distributor in the US, continues to grow rapidly, we're seeking a highly skilled Manager of the Product Management team to ensure we have the right business development and product managers. This role will focus on empowering the sales and marketing team through education, support, and strategy as it pertains to driving revenue growth for products and services through innovative solutions. You will play a pivotal role in product management, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities related to sub-vertical diversification and ancillary services to expand our presence in the market.  

You'll be at the forefront of navigating industry trends, uncovering new opportunities, and fostering strategic relationships to ensure targets for product and service categories sales are achieved. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead members of the Product Management team.
  • Ensures the team effectively executes product management functions, including product development, lifecycle management, and market analysis.
  • Focuses on commercial aspects of product management, such as pricing strategy, profitability analysis, stakeholder management and market segmentation.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities within the clean energy sector providing technical input and expertise.
  • Manage key customer relationships and strategically oversee account management while attending supplier meetings.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key players in the industry and other stakeholders in supply chain.
  • Interviewing, training, and development of new members of the Product Management team.
  • Coordinate with existing vendors regularly, working with the supply chain to ensure competitive pricing models.
  • Provide comprehensive training, marketing support, and project assistance for both the sales team and customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote our offerings and educate customers on the benefits while maintaining a Calander of product marketing events.
  • Collaborate with sales operations to support the sales team through creation of tools, coaching and training, maintaining motivation, and driving sales initiatives.
  • Self-educate on the latest industry trends and developments, attending industry events to build a robust network of partners and contacts.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry standards related to sub-vertical infrastructure.
  • Generate timely and accurate reports as required, utilizing sales reports and data to identify sales opportunities based on customer buying patterns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

  • Possess specific experience in the clean energy industry – preferably in equipment sales, establishing credibility as the resident expert.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Exhibit robust organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Possess a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in management, equipment sales, distribution, and/or solar industries.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; a master's degree or additional certifications in sustainable energy or technologies are advantageous.
  • Exhibit strong B2B business acumen with a focus on business development fundamentals.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the clean energy market, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Showcase familiarity with various equipment standards, protocols, and the regulatory landscape.
  • Thrive in a remote, fast-paced, dynamic environment, showcasing adaptability and resilience.
  • Have a proven track record of establishing partnerships for growth and sourcing new relationships.
