POSITION SUMMARY

As a Sr. SDET you will help lead design and development of our next-generation SaaS and on-premise testing solutions. We are a small and agile engineering team, with lots of opportunity to perform a variety of work and grow alongside great team members. We value hard work, upfront communication, resourceful attitude and a desire to have fun. A Sr. SDET should have a passion for testing, development, and designing. The ideal candidate will champion quality by advocating for continuous testing and integrating test automation into all phases of the software development lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and drive the overall test automation strategy, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficiency in test execution using Cypress, Selenium, TestProject, NodeJS and Go test automation in mind.
  • Experience with standard QA tools and practices, such as functional API testing, integration testing, UI functionality and usability testing, with a passion for automation.
  • Competency in database technology – relational and non-relational databases.
  • Review acceptance criteria for the user stories & ensure required test coverage.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to shape the long-term quality assurance roadmap and ensure automation best practices are embedded in the development cycle.
  • Drive and optimize the defect management lifecycle, ensuring efficient triage, root cause analysis, and resolution while implementing proactive measures to minimize recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance defect tracking, reporting, and prevention strategies.
  • Proactively identify, debug, and resolve complex software defects by analyzing logs, monitoring system behavior, and leveraging automation to improve code quality.
  • Design and implement comprehensive regression testing strategies that leverage automation and refine test suites to optimize coverage, efficiency, and execution time.
  • Perform other duties, as needed.

Requirements

  • Software Development Engineer in Test/QA Engineering: 3 years (Required).
  • Test automation developer tools: 2 years (Required).
  • Experience with API Testing: 1 year (Required).
  • Experience working with version control software (E.g. GitHub, Azure DevOps) (Required).
  • Control Software: 2 years (Required).
  • Familiar with Agile SW development process (Required).
  • Golang or similar language: 2 year (Required).
  • Mobile, Android and IOS, Test Automation: 1 year (Preferred).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge (Preferred).
  • Experience developing software using IDE in a Mac, Linux, and/or Windows environment (Preferred).
  • Experience with issue/project tracking software (e.g. Jira) (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps (Preferred). 
  • Experience with Performance Testing (Preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) (Preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail (Preferred).
  • Highly organized (Preferred).
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team (Preferred).
  • Able to estimate effort and size of features (Preferred).
  • Must be flexible and able to learn new languages and technologies quickly (Preferred).
