As Product Manager of Connectivity, you will drive the development and optimization of Ventrata’s API connections with resellers (OTAs, marketplaces, etc.) and operators/suppliers (their restech/ticketing providers). You will work closely with engineering, partnerships, customer success, as well as external partners to grow the connection ecosystem, improve API performance, ensure a seamless integration process, to further enhance our connectivity offering. The Connectivity product is a critical part of Ventrata’s business, generating the largest revenue source for our clients and showing continuous growth. We are focused on doubling down on this success and expanding the team to further accelerate the impact of our API products.

This role requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as you will translate technical requirements into business value and ensure smooth collaboration across teams.

What will be your main responsibilities?

  • Product Strategy: Lead the definition and communication of the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Ventrata's Connectivity products.
  • Feature Prioritization & Roadmap: Prioritize API features and maintain the roadmap to align with business objectives and market needs.
  • API Development & Optimization: Lead the development and adoption of new connections by providing partners with top-tier development support, tooling, and in-house custom development. Implement tools to track API performance, proactively address issues, and drive continuous optimization.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement: Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships & Marketing, customer success, and tech support teams to drive Connectivity adoption and resolve issues.
  • Connectivity Operations Team Management: Manage a team of cconnectivity operations specialists, ensuring smooth integration processes and efficient operational workload.
  • Development Team Coordination: Coordinate the work and priorities of a development team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and seamless collaboration across teams, clients, and connectivity partners.

Requirements

Who is our ideal candidate?

  • Proven experience in product management, particularly with API integrations or connectivity-focused products.
  • Strong technical understanding of API development, and familiarity with tools like Postman, GitHub, and Swagger. Knowledge of basic SQL. 
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to coordinate priorities and ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with partners and clients.
  • Experience in travel, SaaS, or similar industries, with a deep understanding of the ecosystem and integration challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a product roadmap, balancing multiple stakeholders' needs and business objectives.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering growth and ensuring high-performance standards.
  • Familiarity with API monitoring and optimization tools, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Familiarity with API connectivity operations in the travel industry and/or support processes.
