What You Will Be Doing

Ivanti is seeking a Professional Services Consultant who will be responsible for:

Analysis & Design

·       Participate in workshops to perform detailed requirements analysis, information gathering on client expectations and technical baselines for writing or technical review of Statements of Work and production of detailed requirements definitions

·       Assist in writing or validating the scope of work and technical assumptions of Statements of Work

·       Produce high quality, scalable designs based on functional requirements, customer environments and standards and current best practices

Build & Deploy

·       Perform consultation, implementation, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer for billable engagements

·       Support customers with pilot and production implementation and rollout

·       Perform in-depth troubleshooting and analysis activities against both Ivanti and peripheral technologies to establish problem cause and recommend solutions.

Operate & Optimise 

·       Lead customer handover workshops and orientation sessions

·       Perform health assessments of customer implementations and provide recommendations

·       Stay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriate

Additional Responsibilities 

·       Work with the Ivanti Professional Services organization to maintain both company and departmental goals.

·       Maintain and develop knowledge of the Ivanti Service Manager (ISM) solutions portfolio and specific practice area offerings

·       Conduct consulting engagements and deliver solutions in a timely and effective manner

·       Help to document best practices in developing and deploying Ivanti Service Manager (ISM) and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by customers and partners.

·       Provide regular updates/reports to both the project and account teams.

This role will be working on projects across the globe and as such may be required to work shift hours to suit the location of the project.   This could involve working US, EMEA or Australia work hours.  If required to work shift hours, this will be in consultation with the incumbent and with as much advance notice as possible to include time to transition to the new work hours.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

·       At least 3 years of relevant experience in which 2 years is customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant

·       Strong in infrastructure architecture and design of complex Service Management solutions

·       Strong practical Windows systems administration skills

·       Familiarity with Service Management concepts, processes and standards

·       Understanding of modern IT production data centre and hosting operations including virtualization and ideally cloud platforms

·       A good practical understanding of Web-based application delivery, including IIS server platforms

·       Experience with supporting technologies such as Load Balancing, DNS, Firewalls

·       Some scripting knowledge useful; Javascript, Powershell, and optionally Python

·       Integration knowledge useful; JIRA, REST API

·       SQL Server knowledge desirable

·       Knowledge of other ISM products useful; ServiceNow, Cherwell

·       Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Completed ITIL certification would be beneficial

Roadmap for Success

  • First 90 Days:
    • Gain a deep understanding of Ivanti products, solutions, and services
    • Participate in training and onboarding programs to build foundational knowledge
    • Shadow experienced Professional Services Consultants to learn best practices
    • Begin working on client engagements under the guidance of senior consultants
    • Build relationships with the Global professional services team
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of consulting processes and methodologies
    • Attend customer meetings and gather requirements for upcoming projects
  • First 6 Months:
    • Take ownership of smaller client engagements and successfully deliver consulting services
    • Develop advanced expertise in Ivanti Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and Ivanti IT Asset Management (ITAM) and related product sets
    • Continuously expand knowledge in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell
    • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Contribute to internal knowledge base by documenting best practices and lessons learned
    • Collaborate with other areas of the business to ensure seamless project execution
    • Participate in client meetings to provide technical expertise and guidance
  • First 12 Months:
    • Lead larger and more complex client engagements from start to finish
    • Showcase expertise in infrastructure architecture
    • Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants on the team
    • Attain ITIL certification
    • Achieve certification as a Certified Ivanti® Consultant
    • Be recognized as a subject matter expert within the organization
    • Continuously stay updated with the latest advancements in Ivanti solutions and industry trends
