The American Marketing Association is looking for a Marketing Intern for the Summer of 2025!

What to know about this role

  • This is a ten (10) week, 30-hour per-week internship from Monday, June 9th, 2025 to Friday, August 15th, 2025. 
  • The hourly rate for this position is: $18.00 per hour
  • We are a fully remote organization with team members across the country. Work from the comfort of your home, a local coffee shop, or wherever in the U.S. brings you joy! Please note that you MUST live in one of the following states to be considered for this temporary role:
    • Alabama, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin

The impact of this role

The AMA offers you the unique opportunity to rotate through the marketing team's three key focus areas. The internship includes several projects across growth & performance, events, and learning marketing. At the end of the internship, you will have a comprehensive view of various marketing functions and how they work together holistically as one team. This internship is best for someone who isn’t quite sure what part of marketing they’d like to specialize in yet. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Growth & Performance Marketing - Strengthen your HubSpot and Google Analytics knowledge and usage to support email marketing and performance measurements
  • Event Marketing - Use your copywriting skills for AMA’s biggest annual conference. Support communications and select promo + event fulfillment tasks as time permits, including outlining push notifications, and the start of the photo shot list
  • Learning Marketing - Use your copywriting and competitive analysis skills to help us continue to grow our Learning business

 

What you bring to the table

  • A current Junior or Senior studying Marketing 
  • Fundamental knowledge of Marketing
  • Knowledge and comfort level with Google Workspace.  
  • Knowledge and comfort level working with business social media 
  • Copywriting experience 

What you may also have

  • Interest in learning HubSpot and email marketing

 

What to expect from the interview process

  • Hiring Manager resume review

  • 30-minute phone interview with a member of AMA’s People and Culture team 
  • Virtual Interview with the hiring manager and the role’s mentor that you’ll be working closely with.
