Position Overview
The Senior Cloud Engineer at Lean Tech plays a vital role in the implementation, administration, and support of cloud infrastructure environments to fulfill organizational business objectives. This position focuses on maintaining a secure and efficient cloud environment by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust solutions across Azure and on-premises environments. Key responsibilities include deploying and managing high-availability enterprise solutions, automating infrastructure deployments using Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM templates, and BICEP, and ensuring compliance with established security standards. The role demands strong problem-solving skills, leadership in cloud projects, and experience with critical ITIL practices like Change, Incident, and Problem Management. Familiarity with key Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory is essential. What You Will Be Doing
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architects, to design and deliver optimal large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions.
Administer, deploy, configure, monitor, and ensure high availability for enterprise solutions within Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments.
Develop and deploy infrastructure as code using BICEP, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell to streamline cloud operations.
Implement, configure, and enhance automation tools and processes with a focus on Azure operations and application deployments.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure and software application issues, ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise systems.
Define and implement Azure IAAS and PAAS services for high availability, data redundancy, and resilience in alignment with Microsoft's best practices.
Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments by adhering to cloud security standards and IT security frameworks such as NIST or ISO.
Administer Azure Active Directory and Windows Active Directory, implementing effective identity and access management solutions.
Contribute to the definition and implementation of IT policies and controls, enhancing security solutions in alignment with established guidelines.
Produce, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation on infrastructure configurations, maintenance processes, and monitoring baselines.
Leverage ITIL practices in Change, Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Performance Management to enhance cloud service management.
Apply strong leadership and decision-making skills to guide cloud projects, aligning with senior-level responsibilities.
Required Skills & Experience
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Azure, with 3+ years of experience in administering enterprise-level tenants.
Strong experience in developing and deploying infrastructure as code, with practical knowledge of Bicep, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and Terraform.
Intermediate expertise in administering Azure Active Directory and Windows Active Directory.
Proficiency in public and hybrid cloud models, prioritizing high availability and data redundancy.
Proven experience with ITIL Service Management, focusing on Change, Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Performance management.
Intermediate skill level in PowerShell for automating deployments and configurations.
Familiarity with core Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Networking, Monitor, Log Analytics, Logic Apps, and Functions.
Strong understanding of IT security frameworks like NIST and ISO in Azure environments.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, for documentation and runbook creation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized institution, or equivalent experience.
Preferred certifications: AZ 104, AZ 140, AZ 303, AZ 304, M365 Security Administrator, or M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert.
Nice to Have
Experience with Docker or Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices
Knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Landing Zones
